Alice CullenAlice Cullen is hip, spunky, and pixie-like. She is always ready to shop or plan a party. Compared to the rest of her family, she seems to be the most comfortable with being a vampire. The reason? My guess is that she does not remember her human life. She has a few clues to her past. She found out that she was in an asylum for having premonitions, and she found that her niece is actually still alive today. Her human name was Mary Alice Brandon. James, one of the “bad guys” in this story actually wanted to kill Alice when she was human, but another vampire changed her before he could get to her. So it will be interesting to see if they bring that story line into the movie at all. I hope so.As a vampire, she actually has visions of the future. Her visions are not perfect though. They can change as others change their minds and actions. Her visions are a vital part of the entire Twilight Saga. They give the Cullen family a HUGE advantage over other vampires. She works with Edward a lot. They have a close brother/sister relationship, and their special powers seem to bring them that much closer. Sometimes Alice Cullen’s visions just come to her and much of the time she purposely “looks” into the future. It will be interesting to see how the Twilight Movie will portray her having these visions. She met her husband Jasper in 1948 after having a vision of him, of course. Things seem to just work out for Alice. Life just clicks into place for her. She then found the Cullen family several years later and she and Jasper have been with them ever since. When Edward falls in love with Bella, Alice is the most accepting right away and later becomes like a close sister to Bella. It is a very sweet relationship.
