Bella Swan

Bella Swan is the reason the Twilight saga is such a captivating and addictive series. Why? Because this practical brunette is just like you or someone you know. You can most likely relate with her. She loves jeans, hates rain, and enjoys a great book. She isn't glamorous or sophisticated. She is just one of the girls. She is sometimes a little too serious and worrisome (which she has in common with Edward.) She is very clumsy, but this doesn't stop her from being courageous.

This 17-year-old is not a boy-crazy teen. She has got brains and a big heart. She really wants to do what is right. She is not out to change the world- or anyone's for that matter. She is just living day to day. When she starts thinking about Edward quite frequently, she is incredibly annoyed with herself for doing such a childish and silly thing.

Like most teens- Bella feels quite ordinary and not beautiful by any means. Thank goodness a man with depth, Edward Cullen, knows and senses true beauty. Bella, which in French means "beautiful", is obviously the perfect name for Edward's sweetheart. This "ordinary" girl is everything to Edward.
